The Artist
Klaus P. Kinast is the creative force behind CastArt Studios. He joined the company in 2004 and has since created hundreds of pieces, CastArt has become one of North America's leaders in the market for cast stone statuary, fountains, birdbaths, planters, and garden furniture.
Klaus's extensive knowledge of historical styles and ethnic influences in combination with his love of animals, his wit, attention to detail, and a poetic sense of whimsy allow him to create a vast and diverse portfolio.

From a young age on, Klaus could be found sitting at the kitchen table, where he would sculpt knights from the sorry remnants of beeswax candles. Supplies were hard to get so shortly after the war, and his mom was forever angry at the boy, who in her eyes constantly created a mess - which did not keep her from proudly showing off his creations to her acquaintances.
IN THE WORKSHOP
